BASIC GPS CLASS
- 3-6 HOUR CLASSROOM PRESENTATION TO INCLUDE:
An easy to understand introduction to the basics off GPS
A mix off classroom and field practical exercises
System setup & operation (model specific)
Marking and editing waypoints & waypoint management
Common mistakes to avoid
Correlation to magnetic compass, UTM Grid and Topographic map
This class trains to the scenario of marking an initial waypoint at a
trail head, hiking inland, marking multiple waypoints, and using the
GPS receiver to return to your starting position safely.
This class can be easily tailored to the needs of your group.
This class is a lot of fun. You’ll be pushing buttons 30 minutes after
class start. Our goal is to make the basics of navigation straight
forward and as simple as possible.

50% pre-registration deposit required
Class size minimum of five necessary for locations away from the
Redmond//Bend region. Per Diem//lodging/fuel cost will be charged.
